The price of vaccines has escalated and some poor countries are struggling prevent children from catching certain life-threatening diseases. The warning comes from the organisation Medecines Sans Frontieres. It criticises the drug companies which reply that they can’t make such complex medicine cheaper than they already do.

to verify – to provide evidence that confirms something is really true
